Lupin Foundation Inaugurates Two NCD Corners in Karauli and Hindaun, Rajasthan
A total of nine NCD Corners are planned for phased rollout across five Aspirational Districts
Jaipur, April 08, 2026: On the occasion of World Health Day, Lupin Human Welfare & Research Foundation (Lupin Foundation), the CSR arm of global pharmaceutical company Lupin Ltd., inaugurated two Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Corners in Karauli and Hindaun, Rajasthan. An additional seven NCD Corners are set to be rolled out in phases across the districts of Jaisalmer, Baran, Dholpur, and Sirohi. This initiative underscores the Foundation’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure for the effective management of NCDs in Rajasthan, while expanding access to quality diagnostics and care.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Bhuvnesh Bansal, Deputy Controller, District Hospital, Karauli; Dr. Pushpendra Gupta, Principal Medical Officer, Hindaun; Mr. Ashutosh Pandey, District Program Manager (DPM), National Health Mission, Karauli; Ms. Tushara Shankar, Head of CSR at Lupin and LHWRF; and Dr. Nachiket Sule, Head of the Lives Program at LHWRF.

This initiative is being implemented under the Desh Bandhu Jan Aarogya Sewa Program, also known as the Lives Program, which focuses on strengthening public health systems and improving access to quality care for non-communicable diseases. Under this program, healthcare facilities will be equipped with a wide range of diagnostic and patient-care tools, including digital blood pressure monitors, ECG machines, spirometers, glucometers, pulse oximeters, stadiometers, digital weighing scales, measuring tapes, and patient examination tables.
In addition, information, education, and communication (IEC) materials will be provided to nursing staff to support community outreach and enhance public awareness of lifestyle diseases, preventive healthcare, and healthy practices. The initiative aims to improve community health outcomes by promoting early screening and enabling sustained disease management.
Dr. Bhuvnesh Bansal, Deputy Controller, District Hospital, Karauli, said, “Enhancing the capacity of district hospitals to manage non-communicable diseases effectively remains a key priority for us. By equipping facilities with essential diagnostic tools and raising awareness about preventive healthcare, this initiative will significantly support our efforts to reduce the burden of lifestyle diseases and improve overall community health outcomes across Rajasthan.”
