- Create a dedicated workspace or pick any favorite place of yours at home to stay focused at work like you are in the office. It could be a certain table, chair, or any corner of your house with no hustle and bustle.
- Write a schedule to remember tasks and manage time effectively. Create an excel sheet of daily tasks with date, task status, task deadline if required.
- Stick to your working hours. Don’t work all day long from morning to evening. Know when your ebbs and flows take place and plan your work schedule around it.
- During your working hours, take regular breaks, move around, and stretch yourself. Listen to instrumental and relaxing music for some time, because as we all know ‘Music is the soundtrack of our lives’.
- Instruct your kids about the importance of your work and keep them involved in other tasks. In case, if you have infants, have a backup in your team. Talk about this to your team, beforehand.
- Keep your personal phone away when you work and turn off unnecessary notifications. Attend only important calls. Do not gossip while working. Uninstall distracting apps from your smartphone.
- Attend only professional calls and be in a network area, listen carefully to avoid any miscommunication. If meeting virtually with clients and colleagues, be dressed. A suitable dress code should be followed.
- Maintain work-life balance at home, but ensure to complete work within deadline/timeline. Stay dedicated to your tasks.
- Assist your teammates, fellow colleagues whenever possible. Because ‘Teamwork is the key to every big success’, alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
