Supreme Court Banned Fireworks : Go Eco-Friendly, Noise-Free This Diwali

“What is Diwali without fireworks?” many may ask. The festival of lights took a new turn this year when the Supreme Court banned fireworks in the country’s capital. Young generation little disappointed with the decision and the elderly citizens seem to have mixed feelings about this ban. It wasn’t surprising to see other cities following the suit with their own restrictions. Traditions change with time and on every occasion, we pray for prosperity. So, don’t feel bad that Diwali may no longer be celebrated with fire to set the night sky ablaze. It is celebrated with action to pave the way to a prosperous future for the generations of humans that will live after us.

The southern part of India has also been relatively quiet, with the eve of Diwali barely dotted with cracker noises. This is in stark contrast to the previous years! For them, it is seen as the death of an age-old tradition. However, we have been able to see that this Diwali is filled with more light than any other cracker-filled Diwali. How, you wonder? It is the light in the minds of the youth who oblige to protect their planet. We can see the light in the determination of many to preserve their natural environment for future generations. In a world which debates the existence of climate change, we see India alight with the awareness that climate change is real.

For those of you who have taken the eco-friendly concept seriously, Mother Earth thanks you! If you are yet to adopt the eco-friendly concept, please do remember that no Lord wants to be worshipped with an act of destruction. Pollution is our modern Ravana and if we need to defeat him, we cannot feed him with what he wants!

Babendude team wishing you all ‘A Happy & Safe Diwali’.
